yes they are good in a community, tend to swim more around the mid areas of the tank in comparison to the 'normal' variety so ive heard (no experience) i think im right in saying that they are pretty much the same group wise to the 'normal' corys, if not the groups a bit bigger than the 'normal' ones. So no, preferably not in pairs, although im not sure how many is preferred exactly
