I just came back to the hobby after a break of about 15 years, all was going well until CORY SICK.jpgI noticed this on one of my sterbae today, I'm sure its recent as I'd have certainly spotted it before now. It looks like a deep hole in the fishes head. As far as I know cory's don't get "hole in the head disease" but I could well be wrong. Anyone have any ideas. The only sharp bit in the tank is part of a piece of bogwood.

Cheers

That looks like an injury to me, he may have been startled & swum into something, I have one that did something similar.
Extra water changes to keep the water as pristine as possible should be enough to help it heal, keep an eye on it though for any sign of infection starting.
