ive just had a danio die all my water seems fine im still cycling my tank and doing 1 or 2 watercanges a day

the other 3 seem fine but ive noticed my cory has red gills

is there something i can put into my tank like an all round med?

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Can you post your water stats please.
Red gills can be due to bad water quality as it burn there skin and gills.
Corys are very sensitive fish and shouldn't be used to cycle a tank.

All you can do is water changes and increase aeration.

rekord 70l
did have 4 but now 3 danios and 1 cory(know i need more)

AMMONIA 0 - 0.25
NITRITE 0
PH 7.4 - 7.6

Ive done the test 3 times since 4.15 and had the same result and done a 50% water change

im using the API master kit

Not meant to test water for a few hours after water change as the results are not accurate.
The red gills are due to the ammonia.
Do you have any friends who have fish tanks that are matured, so you can ask for a mature filter sponge from them.
How long has the tank been set up?

There are all purpose medications but they shouldn't be used unless there is a problem. The problem with the Corydoras and red gills is most likely water quality due to the tank cycling.
You are doing the right thing by doing regular water changes. Just keep doing that and only feed the fish once every couple of days. Also make sure any new water going into the tank is free of chlorine and has a similar temperature and PH to the tank.
Don't add any new fish until the tank has finished its cycling process. It will take about a month for this process to complete. In the meantime just do as Wilder suggested and increase aeration and keep doing the water changes.

its been running 9 days and i put the fish in saturday

my danios seemed to really attack eachother and have damaged tails

the one that died had sort of diffrent markings on it and now its gone the other 3 seem to have calmed down

ive got a air pump in the post but could take a while

im trying to match the water temp and im using declor

ive got a bottle of ammolock im not using it as my declor should i be? im using a tetra-aquasafe

The corys might not make it in a cycling tank, danio's are more hardy fish then corys.
The problem with using fish to cycle a tank is it weakens there immune system due to stress, thins there slimecoat, burns there skin and gills,
blood flow dosn't pump aswell through the blood vessels.

i really hope the little cory makes it hes a lovely fish

im going to do another water change before i go to bed

what do you think is wrong with the danios tails would they have done it to eachother?

or is it finrot?

Have you seen the fish nipping.
Finrot can be caused by bad water quality aswell.
All you can do same as colin said it keep up with water changes and increase aeration.
Best to really do a fishless cycle as bad water quality takes it's toll on fish.

Danio's can be nippy fish that's why it's best to have more of them, at least six.
Also the cycling tank won't be helping as that can make the more edgy and nippy.
Research the fish before you buy aswell as someone lfs will tell you anything to make a sale.
Also do some research on the nitrogen cycle.

Lol colin, its the name wilder members always think i'm a guy for some reason.
Though I doubt a guy would have tweety pie as an avator and sig lol.
Good luck with your fish.
