Cory Acting In A Peculiar Manner.

Hullo,

My cory, which was fine an hour ago, is laying upon his side. When i disturb him he swims in the same orientation (90' off the normal), 'till he rests in the same position.

Please help as I like the little chap.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Does he look pale or darker in colour.
Is he acting listless and lethagic.
How does his barbels look.
Any red streaking or sores on his body.
Does he look bloated or skinny.
Leaning to oneside can be a sign of a bacterial infection.

I had this the other week and the outcome wasn't good I lost 2 of my peppered to this and yesterday a pearl gourami. all my stats are ok minnnows and tetras all fine and my remaininfg 4 peppered are ok I think you justy need to get hom out early not sure on medication?

I would add a bacterial med to the tank.

Thanks for your help, but.

A few hours after I posted the little chap was no more.

The tank had been established for ages and I have had no other problems with other fish.

However I had bought the cory only 2 days before he died, so I think he arrived with whatever problem did for him.

I would just do some water changes on your main tank for the next few days.
