my lfs does not give specific coral name just for example mushroom, button or clam (i know a clam isn't a coral but you get my drift)
any way i can find out what can live under my t5 lights

Mostly soft corals such as

Mushrooms,
Zoanthids
Leathers
Ricordea
Clove polyps
Star polyps
Xenia
To name but a few

thanks big c but what about the pussy coral and also how do i know if it is xenia or such when rthey are just labeld as coral:soft leather some are even just called soft coral

My recommendation is to buy a good coral book....read up on them and then challenge yourself to see if you can start to identify them on your own...perhaps even help your LFS to label them on the tanks. THAT would be fun. SH
