I was wondering if anyone knows how to encourage the existence of copepods in my tank? My Mandarins are looking quite thin and i'm wondering what to feed them?

thats a bit small for mandarin they need loads of living rock for them to live, does it eat anything else as some can be weened onto other foods but its rare. do you have a sump there should be loads in there if you have but other than that i dont know what to say hope this helps some how :)

I wouldn't think a tank that size could support even 1 mandarin, never mind a pair.
You should really think about re-homing them, because they will waste away in your tank.

Personally i would not place a mandarin in anything smaller than 100 gallons of water. Its not that they need large swimmer areas but the amount of liverock needed to support their diet would require a tank this size.
A 27 gallon tank simply wont have enough food to support a pair of these fish. HOw long has the tank been running? Mandarins should not be added to immature tanks (less than 6 months) as their food source simply wont be there for them.

If you are extremly lucky then perhaps they can be weened onto frozen foods or some other form of food but this sadly is extremly rare.
