Cool Lights

Anybody used "Ario 2 Color Lighted Aerator" ? It looks pretty neat however I have a 10 gallon tank. Anybody ever used these ? You can see the picture below :

Have seen them. THought about getting them once. However heard the and read ratings that the bulbs don't last very long.

my mate had a couple, they give pretty good lighting, and his ones you could have either the light and no bubbles or both, which was good. however if i remember right his made quite alot of noise.

You'd be better of figuring out how to wire some LEDs into the hood of your tank and shine them down into your tank. It gives a cool moon lighting effect. Blues work great, and reds do too, even though you'd think it might look strange and unnatural.

when working in a LFS the hydor rep came in and gave the shop a couple of free one to place in our tanks.
after 2 weeks both had stopped working and both were in tanks with std pea gravel (3-4mm).
on one of them the led had even stopped working, Hydor said they were aware of the problems.
Nuff said!.

I got the Blue one. Bit tricky to put in my sand, but works great, had it for 5 months, no prob's so far

My LFS has them in, They look great but lights dont last long maybe 6 months max
