i was wondering how aggressive these guys are. how would they get on with angels, a plec and corries? also am i correct in thinking they get to about 4 inches in size. any other info you guys have on em would be great.

Hey, convicts arent really all that aggressive when it comes down to it. But, when mine bred they killed 2 cories my oto. They didnt do anything big to my angelfish though except a few ripped fins. They do get about 4 inches sometimes bigger

They are not very aggressive unless they are breeding...then watchout!

If you are considering adding them to the 29 gallon, I am not sure it would be big enough if you have 3 angels in there....

I am still new to angels, and have never had convicts... but personally I would not chance keeping the two together in a 29. I would be worried for the angels if the convict did one day decide to be nasty.

Is there any reason why specifically convicts?

My baby convicts (<1 inch) killed my full grown angels in a matter of weeks! Don't do it! I don't know about females, but male convicts ARE that aggressive, whether they're breeding or not!
