how about a pair of convicts would they kill the BNs durin breeding?

thanx

depends on the size of the tank, but prob. not!
would need a lot of hiding places where the cons cant fit,
heard of breedin cons killin plecs before but didnt no th size of tank.
also a ledgend of a shop owner puttin con fry in a parinah tank(as feeder):fish:

...few months later cons paired up, started breedin
and eventually killed the piranahs (dont no if there's any truth in it tho?) :/

i tryed puttin the male in with the BNs but for some reason he kept chasing and biting at the female BN that looks like she is carrying eggs

so ive moved him and placed my female in there while her fins repair and she seems to leave them alone for now

they are usually less agressive but still just in case keep an eye out for signs of trouble...

p.s. always wondered bout breeding bn plecs? wrong forum but whats you way?

:fish:

hi

ive moved the cons out of the BN tank also i havnt actually bred the BNs yet but im really tryin to but had no luck yet i have 1 male and 2 females in a 15 gallon alone now

but one female was carrying eggs but doesnt seem to be any more i also think that the male might have some in his cave but i cant really check because otherwise his cave will get ruined

but i hope he has

good news, congrad's...

heard best results are with sand and hollow bogwood?
:fish:

hi

well the tank they are in has really small gravel which they seem to really like and it has a few different caves in it there is a plant pot, tubes, and rocks stacked on top of each other which is what he has used for his cave

im tryin to get some albinos as well but cant seem to find any in my area and noone will post them
