i know female convicts have orange on their bellies, but can males have a little bit of orange? or none at all?

They'll mature quickly, but I've never seen a male with an orange belly. My male, certainly, doesn't have it. Only the females get that way.

all look like this, but two...i havent been able to get any pictures of those two yet :(

I would say thats def a mature female and looking to breed. Watch for eggs and wigglers or for two of the fish to start swimming together or lip-locking. All of this could mean bad news for the rest of the cons as they extremely aggressive when breeding. What size tank are the six cons in?

they are all in a 75 gallon tank now. at the time of that photo my 75 was still cycling, i just moved them yesterday.

well as soon as two of them pair off, try and give the other to an lfs or a friend possibly as you might have some aggression issues in the future. Though, in a 75G, it might not be so bad. But, if you get two pairs, then your going to have some issues and would def need to remove one of the pairs :good:
