How big will they be when, i no there sexes and there colour?

I could tell my convicts' sex by the time they were an inch long. I was able to tell that they were females because they all had spotted bellies. Their bellies were a very light shade of orange, and then as they grew, the orange deepened. I have read that this does not always mean they are female in each and every case, but it is a good rule of thumb.

Also, males will grow faster than females and will be bigger than the females assuming they are from the same spawn.

it means you'll start to see what their colors are going to be (striped, pink...) at about an inch to an inch and a half you'll be able to sex the females, some may take longer to develop orange so you may need ot be a bit patient. like amazonian said... about a half an inch and the colors will start to come out.
