Convict Cichlids

HI ALL!!!!!!!!

My Convict Cichlids breed a few months ago in your community tank. We did only get one baby out the lot. Both mother and father are the standard convicts but their baby is albino.

Does this happen often?

Can anyone help?

Yes, it happens. Not really an 'albino', but a color morph. They're called Pink convicts.

If it has pink eyes, then an albino. The parents of your pair could of been the pink colour morph so thats why the gene has been passed on.
