Convict Cichlids

what sort of tanksetup does a convict need, planteed or rocky? or boath?

They are a New World cichlid, but they need both a rocky and planted environment. They spawn in caves (terracotta pots work really well for this) or on a flat surface (the tnak walla are usually this) Small gravel or sand is prefered if you would like to keep them. A 20 gallon tank is the minimum size for a breeding pair. You can check the profile section in the NW cichlids for more info (I think it should be in there).

yeah that does help i wasent to sure about plants of rocks for them but ill use boath i already have sand will have to set the tank up soon sot even started yet lol
