Convict Babies

i have a friend who's convicts have had babies, atm, only 3 days old.

now, my question is, how long do they need to be be with the parents? or can they be raised by humans (as the babies seem to dissapear when they reach a certain age)

also, if they sell, how much are they worth to sell?

sorry for questions, dont know much about cichlids, but have been asked to find out

yes they will be fine on there own without mum and dad.. thing is that in a few weeks they will prob breed again and turn nasty with the babies ( these ones)
they dont fetch much-50p -£1 if your lucky.. depends on local supply and demand, but they are one of those "just add water" fish when it comes to breeding.. may get more on ebay or such like but then you`d need to be prepared to post probably

sorry, also forgot to add that they need to be a decent saleable size for the LFS to take them, so by the time they are grown enough you would probably have 3/4 more lots of fry.. if there are enough tanks to hold them.
