Converting a hospital tank

Hello I have a 10 gallon hospital tank, just purchased a 5gallon for new hospital tank.

10 gallon is cycled, and has been used for some mouth fungus problems, no fish have been in 10 gallon for about 5 or 6 days. Just been feeding it ammonia.

How do I convert this tank for healthy fish, should I up the temperture (to kill of any harmful bacteria), or should I just break it down completely and start from scratch?

I'd start from scratch, just to be safe. New water, new filter, new gravel and all that. Fungus and ich like to "hide" in things like filter media, if I'm not mistaken.
