So, previously the only thing my betta would eat have been freeze dried bloodworms. I'm not convinced that's a sustainable diet for him so I got hold of some hikari pellets yesterday to try and get him to eat something more "sensible".

Now it's a battle of wills... He swims up at food time and wiggles to get my attention, I drop a pellet in. he just looks at it, then looks at me as if to say "what the <colourful metaphor of choice> is this ?". Of course I have read that it sometimes takes a few days to get them to take a different food so I will persevere for another couple of days.

The problem is, I think he's developed mind control... I have this urge to go buy frozen bloodworm...

Who knew that a 2 inch fish with a wee little brain would someday lord over us all???
