It would appear that one of my guppies is constipated. He is in an isolation net inside the main tank. I’ve read online not to feed him for 3 days, is this ok, or is it a little long?

Also it said to try and determine what food it was that didn’t agree with them. I’ve been feeding blood worm (every 3 or 6 days), sinking granules and floating flakes (crushed up so they are mouth size). The adults are only about 2cm in length fully grown so it’s not like they can wolf a lot of food down. I’ve also read it could be over feeding but I don’t over feed; I clean them regularly to get rid of any excess, I stay away from home on a Friday and Saturday night so my mam feeds them for me and she does overfeed them; but I always clean right before I leave and when I come back to minimise any excess food. I’ve been home this weekend and I’ll be home the next weekend so I can feed them correct amounts.

Edit: I should say it doesn't look like the guppy is bloated at all.

ive seen on here to give constipated fish some deshelled pea i may be wrong but it might work

Incidentally I dont think the fish had constipation.

I don't know what he had.

Anyway the poor thing has died now, as well as my perfectly healthy looking one too.

Whilst it isn't applicable to me, the post may still be useful to other people :).

Hi as walkers says get some garden peas de-shell them and mush them up then feed to your fish this may help
