Considering Getting A Small Tank For Fry/hospital

I've got one tank at the moment, not that big (64L).

I've just had a large increase in the number of guppy fry, and I expect more in the next few weeks. At the moment, I've got them in one of the breeding plastic things in the tank, but I can see it getting over crowded as they get bigger. I don't want to let them fight for survival with the adults, as I can give the babies away when they are bigger.

So my question is, what sort of tank should I get.

I don't really want to spend a lot of money on it, and I don't want it big at all (20L max).

Any ideas?

Any basic tank would be better than overcrowding the breeders trap, or letting them fend for themselves with the adults. If it's an option. no need for gravel. just gotta keep your water proper and 20L is more than enough for fry, when they get big enough u can move them into your bigger tank or give them away ah the joys of guppy breeding!

I figured that I wouldn't need any gravel.

Any ideas on where to get a cheap tank that would be suitable for this?

I had a look on Argos, and a 'My first tropical tank' kit costs £70. I don't really want to spend that much, ideally about half that.

When i had a overload of fry, i bought a clear storage box with lid cost a fiver,popped in a heater and a cycled filter and away it went

I kept the fry in there until they grew big enough to go to the lfs. worked a treat

Okay, getting a 20L tupperware plastic box, a small heater (25W) and a Interpet PF Mini filter. Cost: £30.37
