hey.
i currently have gravel (.5cm) covering the base of my 3foot tank. (approx 2-3inches in height from base). Is there an easier way in which to switch from gravel to sand without stressing the fish out too much??? Help greatly appreciated.

I would try to remove the fish to a heated bucket whilst you do it, because removing the gravel will stir up a lot of muck trapped underneath the gravel and disturb the nitrites etc. so would you also be wise to do a big water change whilst you're at it. It's a day's work, if you include the breaks you'll need to take, washing the sand, removing the gravel etc. I may be wrong, this is how I've done it in the past though

Do a search on this very question, its been asked numberous times. if you plan to take ages on the swap over move the fish, if not just put in a divider or such then let them go when complete.
