Im thinking about getting back into the aquarium scene again as I used to own a 4ft and 2ft tank a few years ago. Problem was the location in my house for it wasnt the best. However we have a conservatory and Id like to get a nice unit. Question is whether the conservatory is a suitable place for it.
It is relatively sheltered from direct sun light. Sun would only get in from maybe 5pm onwards in the summertime (when it actually does shine!!)

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

the only other thing you would have to consider is the temperature.

Will it get too hot in the summer?

Will it be too cold in the winter?

As long as you have ways and means to combat this you should be good.

i would say no,i asked my lfs owner who is very knowledgeblwe and has had fish over 25years and he said hes tried it.the alge grew really fast and the fishtank got very hot in summer

When I was very young, my dada got me a tank and 2 goldfish, mum made us keep them in the conseritry.

away they fryed, my sister managed to save one by quickly putting it in a jug of cold water.

it ended up in my neibours pond, last I hear it was still there happy, at least 11 years latter, poor little sole only had one eye to start with.
