confused

okay so my friend has a 29 gallon tank of gouramis any way one of them has these black like almost whisker type of things jetting out all over his body and by his fins kinad weird lookind like its got cayt whiskers poping out its sides.

Could it be anchor worms?

Is the fish flicking and rubbing against objects.

not that i noticed the other ones were acting strange like all on one side of the tank except one and the other was twitching and the fish with the hair things coming out is in a seperate tank at the monent so hopefully other fish dont get it.

thank you i will try and take a picture its to hard to describe but is almost like human hair jutting out all over he is a grey gourami and this hairy looking stuff is black and it is red around it looking like it is inflamed.

Does it sound like this.
fish have small pimples on the skin, or reddened areas with a white thread-like worm sticking out. Anchor Worm (Lernaea)
Treat with: Praziquantel -or- De-Los

I guess thats what it could be but it says its normally on goldfish and its black on the gourami instead of white? i have never heard of those meds before i was just at the store trying to find meds with my friend last night and last and neither of those were there.
