Hi

When doseing co2 at 30ppm its reduces my PH of my tap water from 7.6 to 6.5 during a water change do I need to reduce my tapwater down to the tanks PH or will adding 7.6 ph tap water to the tank be ok?

Any tips would be helpfull guys!

if you only change part of the water (say 20%) then the pH difference shouldn't be a big problem. However, if you are keeping wild caught fish, then monitor them and see if they stress out. If they do, then you will have to lower the pH before you add it. But generally the tap water pH will drop automatically from the CO2 in the tank.

If you increase the carbonate hardness (KH), then the pH shouldn't drop as much and you should have a more stabile pH.
