Confused Fish

yesterday i thought that one my bosmani rainbow fish was getting a little "confused" and was displaying and shimmering as close as it could to my Opaline Guamri for most of the night , now Ive just looked at my tank and found both of them arched around each other shimmering like mad together. how confused must they be lol. will try nd get a little vid of them later.

Do you have any other rainbowfish in the tank? if not then the boesemani is simply doing what any one else would do. Have a relationship with whatever species is available. The gourami just happens to be a similar size and shape to the rainbow so is probably the most suitable candidate in your tank.

Yep i've seen that before, one of my regular customers brought a tank off ebay that came with some fish, the larger two were a boesmani and an opaline gourami that displayed to each other and stayed together at all times in the tank. The customer even believed they were a male and female of the same species due to the way in which they acted around each other.

thats it this its the only rainbow, there is another bosmani and a slightly larger "Blue" rainbow in there too as well as 5 neon rainbows., the Opaline's body shapes are a fair bit different and the opaline is a little larger too and completely different colour.
