How about a Severum?

Yeah I was looking at them, the gold ones look amazing, I got mixed up I wwas warned off them by the Cichlid people with an Oscar, but since I have scrapped the Oscar idea I will almost certainly get one or a pair, what would you suggest, are they going to gert too aggressive if I get a pair? In the lisat above.

Severums get to 12", you'd need a bigger tank if you wanted a pair, and even if you wanted one, you'd have to lose some other fish to keep within normal stocking levels.

I'd go for something smaller, the rainbow cichlids, or keyholes, or festivums or something that kind of size. Especially if you want a pair.

just thought i'd say that the thinkfish calculator is awful! There is a serious flaw in thw stocking so whatever you do, dont use that, imo use 1inch of fish to a gallon.

the 1" to 1 gallon theory is surely misleading. Is it US or UK gallons? Just something that I was puzzling over, probably obvious I've just never seen.

It's US gallons for the 1" to a gallon guideline.
