Hello,

I recently got a Biorb 60l (as a good beginners tank by shop assistant Yeh right.) freshwater tank not been very good as Ive learned from this forum on the fish I was hoping to keep. I have now upgraded to a Vision 260l and have started the Cycle process. Is it possible to keep RTB sharks with Barbs Angel fish and Black Phantom Tetras? I have a problem with my Red Dwarf Gouramis(male) in the Biorb I have 2 left one in terrible condition sits at the bottom hiding all day is completey bullied by the other one(terrible watching it every day). I know they are not that hardy and prone to disease but is it possible that after 3-4 days i can swop it to the 260l to give it a chance or is it to late?

All water conditions okay in Biorb accept Ammonia poss 0.1ppm

Tank contains 2 x Gourami 1 x swordtail 4 x Neon Tetra.

Hi there. The gourami's are a bad idea at this stage as they need a mature tank of about 6 months. This also applies to the tetra if you're still cycling as they aren't the hardiest of fish

Also barbs and angels don't work together as the barbs will nip the long fins of the angels

Are you still cycling or have you finished, i'm sure i'll be followed by an array of people telling you what to do now so good luck.

Thanks O.M.A

Poor fella, i'd try to find someone with experience and a mature isolation tank if at all possible but it really doesn't sound good if he not eating (could also be an internal infection but likely to be the water). I would also find a different shop that knows something.

What i did when finding a shop after advise from this forum was quiz the person in the shop to see, not only if they knew about the fish but if they cared about the fish and not profits. It worked well for me as i can trust her now (the fast that she's really hot only helps the matter).

Anyway, hope things go well. good luck

Personally, id put him in the 260l. I mean, afterall, he couldnt be much worse off??? :X
