What fish can I keep with a Betta in a 14 gallon tank, small colorful tropical fish, tank has filter and air pump, there are dead spots in the water where the Betta fish can breathe.

you could try a shoal of cardinal tetra or something along those lines

Oo good point! Missed this. Your potential betta will REALLY appreciate a heater, much more so than an airstone.

What is the purpose of a heater if your in side does it really matter my tank tempurture stays at and around 72 all year long

thats fair enough but how can you be sure it doesn't drop at night? personally its better to be safe than sorry

didnt notice there wasnt a heater personally id invest in one as they are relatively cheap

Does the Betta eat the the tropical flakes like other tropical fish or do I have to give it Betta food
