And how long has your tank been running, is it cycled, and what's your PH?

my tank has been running for 1 year and almost 5 months........what is cycling?..........ph idk.... :/ :(

Well for a 60 litre tank i would stick with smaller fish. How many of each species do you have in your tank? You may run the risk of over stocking.

4 Dwarf Gouramis
6 Cherry Barbs
12 Guppies
1 Baby Plec

These are what i have in my tank and i wouldnt think of adding anymore fish to it. In fact i am probably over by a few Guppies, but i will have a new tank next month and they can go in there.

Keep it small and keep the fishes happiness in mind when choosing what fish to stock.

I think you also need to do a water test. If you do not know what cycling is, your water may have levels that are too high and potentially causing your current fish stress.

Cycling is the process of building up enough bacteria in your filter to help convert ammonia (thats occurs mainly in fish waste but also from fish respiration, plants, excess food and dead fish to name a few) to Nitrite, then Nitrite to Nitrate.

Cycling brings your tank to a level where nature is working well and therefore the 'cycle' is keeping the water at a safe level. Do not take for granted that everything is fine.

Have a look at the pinned subjects for more information.

You may have dodged the bullet, but you need to test your water with something like the API Master Test Kit, this will at least tell you if there are any issues with your water that need attention for the sake of the fish.

can u plz arrange some fotos of the fishes u recomended plz.......thnks..... :good:

I'd leave off the plec, even the smallest species - perhaps 2-3 otos in its place. Dwarf corydoras would work well. Chain loaches if you don't plan on having any invertebrates, otherwise an apple snail or a group of ghost shrimp. Dwarf or honey gouramis. If you wanted something odd, maybe kuhli loaches, but you'd need too many to really get any activity out of them.

any pics?......i would apreciate.......:p

I wouldnt have had the Plec myself, only i came home to find that my brother had bought me one and already put it in my tank. As i plan on getting a biggert ank soon, i am happy to leave him there for the time being.

@Denil

Posting pics of the fish we have recommended would take a little time, however i am sure you can search on Google and find more than enough images to help you out. If you really do need the pics, then we will only be too happy to help, but i am sure you will have no problems locating them yourself.
