compatablitity query

ok so i get my new tank soon and am thinkin of keeping chiclids, all i wanna know is some other fish families that are compatible! such as discus? as i believe these do fall in the chiclid family...

all in all i wanna do my research properly!!!

If you do a google (or comparable search) for these two words with no punctuation : cichlid profile : you will find numerous websites that give details about just about every cichlid available. Many will also list compatible tank mates. If you are set on discus then do a search for :discus profile.
