Ive got a 200l tank and have the following fish
2 marble angels
1 black angel
1 silver shark
1 red tailed black shark
1 pictus cat
3 clown loach
1 plec (i think its a clown sucker not sure but i know it was one of the smaller growing ones)

Anybody got any ideas of what other fish would be compatable, i like the look of some of the cichlids but dont know which would suit

Thanks

tbh i think your a little overstocked as it is, you've a lot of big fish in there.

I wasnt sure of that myself its just that the tank looks a bit bare

i'm guessing a lot of your fish are young? you have to remember they're gonna grow and fill out the room, it's no good making it look full when they're young cos it'll be cramped and cause problems later.

also the silver shark really needs to be kept in a group, they don't do well alone, and you haven't room for a group of them so i'd advise you to re-home it, it'll take your tank to a slightly better stocking level too.

Thanks
i have thought about re homing the 2 marble angels b4 but the wife likes them but never really thought of the shark. What other fish would you recomend if i can rehome these 3

i'd still be doubtful about putting anything else in there, however i'd review the stocking further, you'd be left with nearly all your stocking on the ground of your tank, ideally you should spread it out a bit more.

i'd suggest re-homing the clown loaches too as although they're very slow growing, they may eventually require a bigger tank and they're taking up a big chunk of your stocking.

I'd keep the 3 angels. I agree on rehoming the silver shark like Miss Wiggle says. I'd also rehome the redtail shark; they get territorial and shouldn't be with angels. I'm not sure of the pictus cat; I think they need lots of room and swimming space.

With the angels, loaches, and plecos, I'd add a school of rummynose tetras or rasboras. Or if you like livebearers, a group of platies of swordtails would be a nice addition too.

I'd do as Wendy: rehome the sharks and possibly the pictus cat, but keep the angels and add a nice small school of something. This is assuming that the clown loaches are still quite small. They wil grow but they grow quite slowly, so a smaller fish might have got through its natural lifespan by the time those extra inches are needed for the loaches.
