I am setting up a new 55 gallon tank.

I have -

2 albino cories
3 emerald cories
1 chocolate pleco

I'd like to add Rainbows and maybe Parrots.

Would this work? If not do you have any suggestions?

Don't about those, can't Parrots be kinda aggresive?

I would look into Keyholes as they are meant to pretty peaceful for a cichlid.

The Rainbow cichlids would be a nice idea, but parrots are a little overwhelming for what you have in there, growing to over a fat 10" and all.

I would say keyholes also
Rainbows can work if they're the same sex .

I know from current experience that a breeding pair of rainbow cichlids will become extremely aggressive and will force the other fish to the top corners and sides of the tank and will even attack the others , and this is in a 55 gal also .[ other fish have been continually moved from one tank to another . :/

One of my pairs of Raibows almost killed my 6 + year old Jewel cichlid .

keyholes AND rainbows or keyholes OR rainbows?
Or,sorry .[ never kept the 2 species together ] Keyholes are way more peaceful .

If you go for keyholes you could probably get a group of them , my Son has 3 in a 29 gallon with a few other fish , just for example .
They grow to around four inches give or take .

Rainbows aren't bad , but like I said breeding pairs can be trouble .
And they grow to about the same size as Keyholes .

:/ I would kill for two keyhole cichlids. I've been looking for them for about 6 months now.
