whats everybody's favorite community fish ? looking for some schooling fish and some bottom dwelling fish and/or 1 or 2 centre piece fish :)
as im getting a bit bored of my current stock!

thanks for your help mate :good: i love the look of cardinals, and have always wanted an apisto of some kind, just never really got round to getting myself some :p haha

Community fish for me are Platys but schools are Cardinal Tetras and the bottom feeder a Hillsteam Loach

I seem to be saying this a lot recently, but from how far away will you be viewing the tank?

Some fish, like glowlight danios and emerald rasboras are best viewed from close up, whereas things like apistos and ember tetras work from further away.

cardinals and corys sound good to me, i have a betta that could be my centre piece fish if it would be suitable to keep with cardinals and corys ?

Remember not to stock as if it is a 64 litre. The substrate, filter (if internal), heater and ornaments will reduce the volume significantly. When I had to fill my 70 litre, I think I roughly calculated it out to be closer to 60 litres due to displacement. :)

Species only tank of one fo the three mini Corydoras (pygmeus; hastatus; habrosus), group of 10 that will use the whole tank and perhaps breed, job done.

Whatever you choose, you are looking at ~30cm of adult sized small fish.
