Hi everybody.

I have a juwel 96 litre tank with 5 lemon tetras in at the moment, and i'm looking to get some more fish. I've left the filter for six weeks to cope with the nitrate and ammonia levels, so the tank is ready for more fish. Would the following fish be ok to keep with each other regarding behaviour, water temp and size?

In tank:

5 lemon tetras - 3 - 4cm

Possibly buying:

5 more lemon teras OR 5 black widow tetras. (will 5 be enough?)
1 Male siamese fighting fish (will the lemons nip his fins?)
2 - 3 Angelfish (how many angelfish need to ideally be kept together?)

Should all of the fish above get along? Wil the angelfish eat the lemon tetras?

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a friendly and colourful community aquarium, preferably friendly fish under 10cm? Also does anyone know a species of angelfish that is smaller than the normal sized ones?

Thanks everyone.

No.... You can put your 3 angelfish in there... Do not add to your Lemons..... Angels would be a threat to your Betta rather than the Lemons..... You can put the 5 x Black widows in there and for colour, you can put in another 3 x Congo tets..... That's your limit in a 96 liter.

Whether or not you can keep angel fish would depend on how high your tank is.
I wouldn't add a betta in with lemon tetras, although i personally have found them peaceful but i wouldn't risk a betta, they could nip him or he could them, male betta's do better in tanks by themselves.

Would the betta be ok in the tank if i had 3 pearl gouramis instead of the angelfish?

Oh by the way the tank is 36cm high.
