Comet's tail has fallen off!

Hi guys,

I had a post going here http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=68994&hl= about my shubunkin which was acting strangely and was being nipped at on his tail by the other fish.

He went back into the big tank yesterday, but now half of one of the comets tail has broken off!

Why might this be?

I would remove it from the tank again, and put some salt in his tank, try a salt bath.

its the comet which has had the tail fall off, not the shubunkin.

how would i make a salt bath?

Sorry, one tablespoon of aquarium salt to one gallon which is 5 litres.
