I have three male Cambodian Crowntails. Plan to use them for breeding. The female Crowntails I have are in the following color schemes:

Cambo, Red, Turquoise, Steel Blue (x3).

Was thinking:

Cambo + Cambo
Cambo + Red
Cambo + Turquoise

Females sell here for about $0.25 now so if Cambo + Cambo is the only way to go, I can just pick up two more female Cambo's.

Yup, it is in USD.

Two months ago we could rarely find females. Now the LFS gets 100 per week.

what store do you get your females from? I'm considering breeding them, but I want cheap bettas cus I'm not going for show quality or even for selling.

I know in the US Petco and petsmart usually have small stock of them....unfortunately the pretty females are few and far between. You would pretty much have to get them healthy and looking their best before you can breed them. I would love to breed Flare(the betta in my sig) but I cannot find a female that I think is worthy of him. I would also love to breed Ice (blue and white doubletail halfmoon) but once again, quality females are hard to find. Unless you buy them onlne and imported them
