Color enhancing flakes

Im trying to find out wat brand of color enhancing flakes works best. give me ur opinions. thanks

I use Nutrafin colour enhancing flakes....all my fish have always been colourful, even before I fed them this

It really depends on the content of the color enhancing food. Sometimes they add hormones to the food which can really mess up the fish, built up hormones can make the fish aggressive or even give them tumors sometimes. If they are using natural color enhancers then they are much healthier. Sometimes they use carotene as an ingredient in red color enhancing. I have also heard that paprika can enhance red coloration in fish.

I think so. The carotene really enhances the red color and I did have some GORGEOUS rosy barbs for a while The red on my Boesemani rainbows really popped too, but that also could have just been from their getting older.

Anything with carotene is going to enhance the redder colors more than the others, if that's what you're looking for.

mine look great also and they are still juvies but the flakes wouldnt hurt anything.

i have angels that just wont anything exotic for example i have sum that will go crazy for frozen brine shrimp n sum that eats it then spits it right back out.

I use TetraColor and now Hikari Flake Tropical. The fish love this new flake. It's all natural flake. The texture is perfect for smaller fish too. It's easy for them to break up etc.

OSI is a really good brand... But I don't use color enhancing flakes. I think if you are caring for your fish correctly they will be colorful AND happy!!!
I tried tetra colorbits once... I have never had something that clouded the water so quickly!! And my fish didn't even like them. Oh well. I still have the whole can!
