a few days ago, I added a couple of cockatoos, since my water stats have been very stable for a while (everything had reached 0)

but these guys are tiny! they are currently about the samesize as my neons, no way they could be more than an inch!

how long will it take for them to reach full size? another year? 6months?

a year for full size but it could be sooner. depends on food, water changes etc.

would that be a year from now? or when they're a year old? since from what i've read theymust be about 5 months, but i couldn't find any other info...

I think over the course of 6 months you will start to see decent growth on them :) High protein food and big water changes will help fish grow fast, fish create a hormone in the water which kind of controls their growth rate (I think I may just be talking bull but Im about 75% this is right) and the dilution of this means that the fish grows faster in shorter periods of time.
