hi all im thinking of upgrading my 125l set up with a co2 kit. a couple of my amazon swords are getting a bit melty and a regular addition of seachem flourish has helped but there still looking a little tatey. im looking at the tmc aquagro expert set set at the moment and was wondering if this would be suitable for my tank. there arnt any special plants in there just the swords i mentioned and java fern, java moss and an anubias nana. i dont have any issues with exessive alge and my water tests at ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 10ppm kh3 gh 4. im currently running a fluval u3 internal filter at the moment but will be upgrading to either a fluval 206 or an aqumanta efx200.( cant make my mind up lol). any advice would be welcome. thanks in advance.

I've a 206 for my 125 litre Roma, trouble free and does everything it needs to do, only thing with a 95 gram Co2 cylinders/systems are that they don't last too long you may well be replacing a cylinder every month or two (if you're lucky or a frugal user), just something to think about if running costs haven't been considered

bigcheed - sorry for jumping your post here but am interested in this thread as I am considering going the C02 way as well but not at the moment in time yet, just considering it in mind and trying to figure things out before going for it.

Are these cylinders expensive to replace or refill?
Can you get various sizes or cylinders or is it best in just 95gram size?

More info would be great

they are close to £10 each if not more, price reduces if you bulk purchase but not by much, and you're stuck at one size by virtue of the thread size of the regulator.

Good info, thanks for that, will certainly remember that.
