Any standard household electrical timer will do, I would set it to start one hour after the light come on and stop an hour before it goes off.

How would I connect it to the solenoid is it easy? Sorry I’m a complete novice.

The same way any other device, then configure it to follow your light.

If you can get a timer that doesn't lose it's configuration during power outage is a good thing with Co2. So if there's a blackout while you're absent it wont start emitting Co2 at the wrong time.
