Hi All,

I have just set up my second hand Dennerle CO2 set up with a 2L fire extinguisher which arrived today. All seemed well 'till I started to test the solenoid which appears to not completely stop the flow of CO2. Is this a common problem, do they wear out? Is there something that I should be adjusting? Thought I'd check with you guys first before I give the seller some...!

Dave.

The Co2 doesn’t stop immediately it still comes out for a bit slowing and then stopping. So check that first.

solenoids most def go bad.is it old?you can take it apart and check to see if it moves freely.i believe you can use some lubricant to make sure everything moves freely, but im not sure what kind.i think it was sewing machine oil but find out first.mines will need replacing soon since its starting to stick.and yes when it goes off there is some residual that needs to blow off after it goes offline.d

Thanks Guys, It did look a bit better this morning, but still a few bubbles, I will do some more experiments with it and take it apart to see what its problem is... Meanwhile here are two links to fairly cheap german replacements incase anybody needs one... Gutes muß nicht teuer sein and Aquarianerversand Hope that helps someone...

Dave.

That aquarinversand link looks intersting. a complete set up for just over 60 notes. Now you have got me thinking.

I lived in Germany for three years and I can`t understand a word either. Pathetic, really. Still, the pictures do all the talking for me. Looks as if it is all there apart from a transformer for the solenoid.
