I filled a new 180litre tank yesterday afternoon (see journal in my sig) and ran CO2 until about 10 last night (on lights off) then started at 7 today until now and my Sera CO2 kit is still blueish... should be green?!? I'm running at 1 bubble per second going through a ceramic diffuser into filter extract

KH 6 and PH 8 using a Tetratest strip at 1pm today

Anyone HELP

Agghhhh.... Don't want to OD the tank.

Should I cram the CO2 rate up?

Does anyone else here have a Sera Continuous CO2 Kit, may be operator error....

I'm sure when I read the instructions it said fill the cap 1.5mm from the top, then on the bottle it says fill it 1.5ml... Have now filled 1.5ml and its gone green

Came home form work and the test is GREEN, which is good! Will have the results of the 24hr PH test as helped by Dave Spencer later tonight to get a better idea...

Yey!

I had the same problem with sera permanent test it was blue no matter so i switch to JBL permanent test i think jbl is more reliable the color code takes in to account the kh.

Did your instructions say to fill the cap up to 1.5mm under the top? Then on the bottle is says 1.5mm of aquarium water....?

I'm fairly sure mine did, that's where it went wrong.... Well that's my story anyway

Yes you are right now that you mension it i noticed it was writen in German on the bottle i will try it again and compare with JBL and keep you posted

Just read my post again and as usual not quite clear.

The instructions said fill the cap with aquarium water until 1.5mm from the top

The bottle says fill the cap with ONLY 1.5mm of aquarium water

Cheers mate, would be good to find out

I already fill with 1.5mm put it in the tank next to jbl but as you know it takes a few hours and as the time is after 11 pm in Greece the unswer tomorrow.

Thats good news... When mine has ran out I might upgrade or use the 24hr PH test

John, does your Sera tester produce a strange kind of white mist around the bottom?

You mean where it meets the water or where the upper cap meets the lower part
In my case after 1 or 2 days i have a shadow where the the water enters but is the water going up in the tube probably no good seal between the upper and lower part.
