Co2 Proof Tubing

i was wondering what kind of CO2 tubing you guys are using .i have read that the normal air line can leak CO2 out . but some have said the the silicon tubing is ok .i need to run a long length of tubing as my bottle is about 20 foot from my tank .do you guys think the the silicon tubing would be ok for this ? i did buy some CO2 proof tubing a while back but i was not happy with the quality of it .it was JBLs make .i know AE sell CO2 proof tubing but there longest is 5m and thats about £12:50 and i really do think that its to much to pay for some tubing

from what I can gather the co2 losses from normal airline tubing is around 20% (not sure where I've picked up that figure though) . My friend uses normal silicone airline tubing with his CO2 DIY set up and that seems to work okay, so I suggest you just try some normal airline tubing and measure your co2 levels in tank so that you can always adjust bubble count output to adjust this.

All I know is that with 20ft in between the tank and the bottle, you are going to have some serious lose. That is if you get anything to actually reach the tank.

The stuff that came with an aqua medic M that I got (but don't use due to size) was like the pipe work you get with RO kits but slightly softer. 6mm O/D
Surely if you have enough pressure then you can push the CO2 as far as you like connecting pipes with inline connectors?

I do believe that the tubing more amenable to passing CO2 w/out loss is urethane.

Yeah, it shouldn't be too bad though if there is only a short distance to the tank. However, with 20 feet in distance I'd have my reservations about it.
