hi, i set up my diy co2 and followed a 'recipie'. however it is not producing any bubbles and not even any pressure in the bottle. i think it may be the old yeast, so i may have to get some new becuase sugar is new and so is the bi carb. anyone got any thoughts, tips, suggestions or shortcuts on diy co2? i really want to make it work! also when it is in the bottle should it be below the tank or above? i know it shouldnt make a difference because the gas will be pussed through but iwant to know how other people do it! thanks.

I have mine above the tank, because I use the lights to warm the mixture slightly for better CO2 output during the day.

What recipe did you use? Sounds like the yeast was dead, or somehow killed during setup (too warm water will instantly kill the yeast). Or there might be a leak. Is anything happening in the bottle, ie. do you see the surface of the mixture producing any foam or bubbles at all or is it completely dead?

none, no bubbles so i think it must be the yeast. i connected my air pump to the piece of tubing going through the cap of the bottle and that pushed bubbles out through the diffuser so there cant be any leaks. i dont think the water was that hot becuase when i stuck my hand in it was warm.
