Is there any need for a test kit to monitor CO2 in the water or do I just happily replace the mixture when no more bubble appear?

Simon

it's not essential but if you want to be sure of things get a JBL permanent co2 + PH test kit. i have attached the info from the jbl site (www.jbl.de) i have one on each of my planted tanks and it gives you an instant reading of co2 and ph.
