Hi i bought a co2 pressurised kit , 2 weeks ago but somehow the regulator 0 and 0 on both gauges, was wondering what could be the most likely reason, I Made sure the regulator was tight to the cylinder, and got co2 tubing on it, ?but halfway the tube changes to the soft rubber tubes ( its cause my bubble counter and check valve don't fit in the co2 tube , could that be the reason ... It really should last for months right?

btw i have 1.6 kg co2 , for a 120 L tank.

If anyone could help?

That bottle size should last a few months at a few bubbles per second. When you get a new bottle and you have connected everything up get some fairy liquid and water. Mix it up and then pour it all over your equipment to check for leaks. Literly soak the equipment it it. Then watch for a few min. Leaks will easly become apperent, first by the bubling/hissing noice and then by the actual bubbles. Even a very small leak will quickly drain a large bottle.

This happened to me the first time I got CO2. A 12kg bottle only lasted 2 months on a 125 litre tank. When I got a new bottle I check with the fairly liquid and I had the smallest leak imaginable on my solenoid connection but it was enough to vent the bottle very quickly.

Most leaks can be solved with Teflon on PTFT (or what ever it is called) tape. Available from most plumbing suppliers. And a quick tighning of the affected joint.

Have you checked all seals/joins by splashing them with washing up liquid? It will bubble if there is a leak, I would certainly expect it to last much longer than two weeks unless there is a leak somewhere - the leak can be teeny tiny so you might not feel it or hear it, but it will drain the bottle pretty quickly none the less.

yea i might have to check it out . i didn't notice any hiss or noise, though , ..
