I use one of these as my fine needle control, as my regulator can't handle the low psi that I need. I had it lying around from when I was using an air pump, so I figured why not.

It leaks from where the nozzle/dial thing is (at the upright). I have sealed everything else with aquarium sealant, but I can't for this for obvious reasons. Any ideas what I can use instead? Should I take it to a plumbing store or a home building store to see if I can find anything similar?

Jen you need a needle valve which attaches onto the regulator itself or it can be attached "inline" basically all that means is that it can be attached onto the auctual airline hosing itself, but both methods are the same pretty much. Normally to fit a needle valve onto a regulator directly you might need an adaptor (it depends on your regulator) so to make things easier you can run the needle valve inline. Both will be controlled by a knob on the needle valve which you twist to increase or decrease the flow of CO2.....easy.

Heres a link for Clippard, they are regarded as the makers of some of the best needle valves for our purposes, this distributor is in Ontario, im sure if you paid a visit in person with the regulator they would be able to fit or order the correct parts so you could attach the needle valve directly onto the regulator without the need to run it inline. The needle valve you are looking for is the MNV-4 series, there are 3 or 4 different types of needle valves in this series, i think any of them will be suitable, but the distributor would be able to inform you a lot better if you tell them your exact requirements.

Needle valves and the adaptors are cheap so if these guys are anywhere near you i would definatly give them a call.

Thats a mouthful! They are only 45 minutes away, and I have some friends in that city, so I might try to make it out this week.

Thanks a million
