I want to try CO2 injection in my 10g, but I'm not sure if I should because the water hardness is low (4 degrees). What do you guys think? I don't want it to cause pH swings

48W flourescent
Sand substrate with root tabs
Java fern, amazon sword, Wisteria, and another type of stem plant
4 bettas
50% water changes every 10 days
- no longer fertilized because I didn't notice a difference after 2 months

hmmm based on the lighting u have i think the plants might love the added c02, especially if you have a lot of plants, if your worried about the ph swings try notching up your KH a little, there are ways like the one im using (baking soda) to raise my KH, from 2 its now around 5. :D hope this helps

Can you explain more kenneth? My kh is low as well, not even 2 the last time I checked. Any instructions on how much baking soda to add per 10 gallons? Do you know anything about using epsom salt as an alternative? Does your PH or other stats. play a role in deciding how much baking soda to add? Thanks! :D
