Right, After 12 months of closing my tropical tank and joining the marine side i am now back Opening another tropical tank again!
Its a 5x2x2 sumped, I have all my Filtration set up, And it is Pretty Much cycled now, my last tropical tank was heavo;y Planted but.. i never used ferts or Co2 And the plants grew like weeds! Now this time round I want another heavily planted tank,i have more intense lighting and with it being sumped i am sure that there is going to be a lot of co2 lost though the pipework etc etc, So what would be my bets option for a co2 diy? The fire Extinguisher option? The pop bottle.. Or Buying a unit, Bearing in mind the tank is 500L roughly,
Or.. Could i get away without c02 at all?

Thanks In advance Jamie

depends on your lights if you need it and go pressurized if you do... or your going to need like 10-20 bottles of yeast. and will cost a bomb in sugar

Hi thanks for the reply, I am going to be using an at arcadia unit with 4 54watt t5's

id say you'd need co2 :good: and fire ex would be the best way =]

to be honest i haven't a clue iv never used one. im on yeast as you'v got a sump some of the gas would defuse out of there as well ( i think) so it might not last long at all about 6 months? maybe more i haven't a clue
