Anyone have suggestions on a good model of a CO2 diffuser to use in a 75 gal tank? It'll be a DIY system. I think my lighting is currently a bit over 1 WPG, but I'm seriously considering doubling that and going for a bit more extensive plant growing system.

I'm a bit confused on the bubble counter/diffuser also...do you need both things or does the diffuser act as a counter?

Hey.

I can't recommend a diffuser but I can tell you the bubble counter is literally to count how many bubbles of CO2 are going into the water. I guess the best way to describe the diffuser is that it takes that bubble and splits (diffuses) it down into hundreds/thousands of tiny bubbles. The smaller the bubbles the more CO2 gets into the water I think (greater surface area of all the combined bubbles?). Someone else correct me on that if I'm wrong :)

You need the counter so you can estimate the flow of CO2 from your CO2 system. So you can increase/decrease. Some will talk about how many bubbles per minute/second, and this is where the counter comes in :)

DIY?????

You will need 3 or 4 Coke bottles at least for 75 gallons.

You will need one of these 4 way (or the 3 way version) air manifolds so that you can close the link to the bottle you are changing the recipe in and not lose the pressure from the others.

And this diffusor should be OK

I have the Rhinox 2000 in my 29G and it works a treat off 2 Nutrafins and a Coke Bottle on a 3 way manifold.

Good Luck
