I have my co2 tube going into my internal filter and the bubbles go right into my sponge, I never hear the filter chopping the bubbles and I never see them coming out of the filter. Could this mean they are completely dissolving in the sponge?

Thanks

Shouldn't be, people have be pumping CO2 directly into filters for a while with no apparent ill effects. Just cos there is more CO2 doesn't necessarily mean there is less O2 :)

I have recently placed my ceramic CO2 diffuser beneath my filter intake, resulting in more pearling for the same bubble rate.

Experimenting with the water distribution helped as well, though. Getting CO2 throughout the four corners of the tank via water movement is important.
