After being given a bit of reading to scout through I finally plucked up the courage to rig up a 2.7kg when empty/4.2kg when full, co2 canister underneath my girlfriends tank.(its pretty well planted and she loves it to bits and always spoke about possibly getting one. Seen as it was our "3years together" anniversary I splashed the cash and got her one
just to help her plants look and last a little better )
I have got everything in place, and have one of those large I think JBL co2 spiral things which is about 25cm in length, which states there is no need for bubble counter etc or a diffuser as this is, well a diffuser in itself I believe.
After plugging in the solenoid and turning it on I proceeded to adjust the little nozzle to increase the bubble rate. After tweaking it a bit I kept noticing the pressure would drop a fair bit and tightend the relavent nozzle which the pressure gauges are connected too, successfully getting the flow rate a little faster.
I then decided just to move the gauge a bit so it was a bit tidier as it was facing side on, only to find the solenoid was very hot, not too hot to touch, but considering it was only on for say 10/15 mins tops I was a little concerned about leaving it in my gf's room and head home knowing the heat was only going to increase.
Basically cut all that story short, I was wondering if anyone knew why this could be??
Thanks in advance
(Ill add a pic of her tank soon for a bit of eye candy to the topic
